Last week incredible for two reasons.
One: My niece Finley was born! I am over the moon. Pretty sure she’s perfect
And, two: This, a goal realized.
I am thrilled and honored to be part of the 2013 SOAS Racing amateur team!
I can’t quite remember how I stumbled across SOAS last year… most likely through the power of twitter. Regardless, it was a gem of a find, and as soon as I put on my first kit (pink peacock), I was hooked. There are no tri shorts as comfortable – hello, low-rise waistband! – and the fabrics are anything but the typical shrink it and pink it and flower it gear.
SOAS further impressed me when co-founder Kebby went far above and beyond to track down a teal plaid kit for me on super short notice (just three days!) for my first 70.3 last July. With that stellar customer service combined with kit style, function and comfort, there was no question what I was going to wear this year to train for Ironman Canada.
And, when Hailey emailed me in January asking if I had applied yet (I hadn’t), I quickly submitted my application, thinking it would be a long shot.
Much to my surprise, I made the cut!
I am ecstatic to be part of this team – seriously, such top-notch inspirational ladies! – and am looking forward to getting to know everyone. And, I’m thrilled to represent a brand powered by women who are passionate about triathlon and promoting other women in the sport!
Thank you, SOAS Racing, for this opportunity!
It’s gonna be a fantastic year!
